ADD HIKVISION NVR IN HIK-CENTRAL APPLICATION
Adding an NVR (Network Video Recorder) to the Hikvision application (Hik-Connect) is straightforward. Here are the steps you can follow:
1. Upgrade Your NVR Firmware: Ensure that your NVR is running the latest firmware that supports Hik-Connect. You can find firmware updates on the Hikvision website.
2. Enable Hik-Connect Function on the NVR:
- Go to the NVR’s configuration settings.
- Navigate to “Network” > “Advanced Settings” > “Platform Access.”
- Choose either “Hik-Connect” or “Cloud P2P” (depending on your device).
- Set a verification code (if allowed). Note that some devices may have a predefined code (e.g., ABCDEF).
3. Download the Hik-Connect App:
- Visit the Hikvision app store on your computer or mobile phone to download and install the latest version of the Hik-Connect app.
4. Register and Log In:
- Register a Hik-Connect account using your mobile phone number or email.
- Log in to your account via the Hik-Connect app.
5. Add the NVR:
- Open the Hik-Connect app.
- Tap the “+” icon (usually located in the upper-right corner).
- Choose the appropriate device type (NVR).
- Scan the QR code on the NVR label or input the device serial number (SN) manually.
- Enter the verification code set during the NVR setup.
- The NVR will be added to your account.
6. View and Manage:
- Once added, you can view and manage your NVR within the Hik-Connect app.
